API & AI integrations
What is the difference between the Dynafis API and MCP?
API and MCP use different integration models. The right option depends on the client and your automation goal.
The Dynafis API is a classic programming interface for direct integrations. MCP is a standardized interface through which AI clients can discover available tools and call them in a controlled way.
When the API is a better fit
Use the API for your own applications, fixed backend processes, webhooks, systematic data flows and integrations where your code controls individual endpoints directly.
When MCP is a better fit
Use MCP when an MCP-capable AI client or agent should discover available tools and use them within an approved Dynafis context.
Security model
Self-service MCP uses OAuth and binds approval to workspace and legal entity. API access uses its documented authentication and scopes. Both remain subject to permissions and usage limits.
