Why is MCP not visible or available?
Check operator switches, workspace module, role and permissions when MCP is not shown.
MCP is intentionally shown only when the technical feature is available and enabled for the workspace. Normal Dynafis users do not need to see the module.
1. Server-wide availability
SERVICE_MCP_ENABLED must allow MCP globally. Public self-service access additionally requires SELF_SERVICE_MCP_ENABLED. These switches are managed by the operator, not normal workspace users.
2. Workspace module
The “MCP for AI clients” module must be enabled for the workspace. If available but inactive, an authorized user can enable it under Extensions.
3. Role and permission
Managing MCP connections is a technical administration function. If the menu is missing despite an enabled module, check the role and permission for technical access management.
4. Not an issue for normal use
If you only use Dynafis in the browser, a missing MCP menu does not remove any normal functionality. Invoice, accounting and compliance workflows operate independently.
