Tax basics
Foreign currency and VAT exchange rates
Document invoice currency, tax currency, rate date and source.
An invoice may use a foreign currency while the taxable amount or return uses another. The verified country rule, correct rate date and permitted source determine conversion.
Rate date
Depending on country and scenario, supply date, invoice date, tax point, prepayment or customs date may apply. Dynafis must not use one universal date.
Source and reproducibility
Source, original rate, quote direction, retrieval time, rounding and rule version are stored. A later fetch must not silently change history.
Missing rate
If no permitted source is available, the case remains blocked or review-required; an estimated market rate must not be shown as official.
Official references
Sources support traceability; national implementation and the individual case still require review.
